My school ( CHIJ ) has a chapel and I didn't even know it ! It is a beautiful chapel with stain glass and a high ceiling. Expensive to built but worth it. Thanks Miss Yip for walking me down the steps to see the chapel. I also had the chance to sit in on a geography lesson Miss Yip was conducting for her class. How I miss sitting in a classroom, reading from the board, learning from the board and reflecting on my old classrooms, my extremely loud graduating class, and how I use to enjoy each and every geography lesson.
Lucky me, I also managed to sit in on Mrs Low's Choir Auditions ! And she is still as intimidating as she use to be, our dear choir mistress ! Boosting our long history of gold medals and awards, distinctions at every single choral performance and grading. One thing I know for sure, I dont think I would have made it if I went for auditions yesterday !
I love my teachers ! Mrs Chiam taught me Chinese for 4 consecutive years, Miss Yip taught me Geography for 3 consecutive years, Mrs Tan played an important role in putting me in the right class with a subject combination that I enjoy, Miss J Teo shared my passion for Mac ! Miss Teo PS made sure I had a strong foundation Math before sending me to upper secondary with Mrs Vannan. and Mrs Low, with her passion for the school choir has inspired a love for fine arts in me. I love my school and my teachers, I realise that I will never be able to repay the love they showered on me.
I know one thing that I can always count on my teachers is to give me sound advice and also be there for me if I need to clear my head and even fustrations. As usual, I walked out of IJ with a good head on my shoulders and ready to take on the world again.
-----------Winnie, Kalai, Kelly and I met up for dinner and coffee at Plaza Singapura. It was good to finally catch up with gossips, to be in the know of who is dating whom ? who wants to date whom, to know the places that people have gone, good diners and how old we feel to be in a crowd of 17+ 18+ year olds.
-----------Biggest Highlight of the day; Carrefour was having a book sale ! At $3 a book ! I bought 18 books and Kalai bought 15 ! Yeah Yeah Yeah ! ( Yes, Carrefour is selling books.. )

In Victoria, we always say that someone is running on Latin Time when he/she is late. It appears that I found another country who is also running slightly behind time - According to Jan, its Austria Time !
And because I am now running on Austrian Time, my dinner is postpone again to next week ! In the words of Jan : ALAMAK ! With any luck, his Singlish will be better than mine within weeks !

The
HAZE is back in Singapore ! With all the forest clearing in Indonesia with the slash and burn method, unfortunate wind directions has brought the haze to us, the air qualities hovers between 100 and 130. It is NOT that bad, I guess some countries have it worse, with or without wind direction change, with or without deforestation ! Just like some of the Indian trainees said, its always like that in India !
