Free Time

With my new found free time,
I can now read the billion books I bought over the years and finish them !
I can now now watch movies without worrying about what I have left undone at the office
I can now hang out with my good friends, have dinners and mahjong sessions.
I can now relflect on my next step in life....

Caught between an MBA , an Engineering degree at NTU, ( which will sooooo nicely compliment my B.Sc ) or head back to the work force.

Thinking, just thinking...

I must admit though, i miss busy-ness and it has only been a week since I said my last goodbye to my office.
Over the years, I have constantly buried myself with work. be it school, volunteer work, AIESEC and what not.
Now, with new found free time, it feels a little strange....

On a lighter note, I caught X-Men III and Da Vinci Code with the Boys.. Both are good movies but being raised in 3 Catholic Schools, I know I have different opinions about Da Vinci Code Movie. X Men III was good but not up to expectations. I shall disclose who died and who did not. Enjoy the movies !

More of my friends are entering the workforce and it good to be able to discuss work and the corporate world with them, its cool to know that I am not the only one tied down to movies after 7pm. Ha Ha Ha.

I can't wait for June to start... I want to travel and now i have free time to do so !

Emotions, Quotes and Music

Dave left a comment, thus resulting in this post. No... I do not have a crush on anyone.. for now.. for 2006 at least. I am more interested in getting work done right and enjoying my first few years of work.

Explaining the quote, it is just something really deep I heard and in many ways. it made a very profound impact on my day's activities.

I didnt have a fantastic day at work today and I think it crazy.

As I grow older, after my years away from home. I have learnt to not cry and if I do, I must be very stressed. Stressed to extremes.

Work is busy ( that's a given ) and work is overwhelming.. so much I feel like I am going final year at university again.

But in the midst of emotions, I have a few people to talk to and take my mind off work and also talking to my best friend really helps ( HUGS all the way from Singapore to Turkey )

Also in the midst of emotions , I have a few quotes to keep me going.

Frances de Sales:
Nothing is so strong as gentleness. Nothing is so gentle as real strength.

Colleen C. Barrett:
Work is either fun or drudgery. It depends on your attitude. I like fun.

Colleen C. Barrett:
When it comes to getting things done, we need fewer architects and more bricklayers.

M. Scott Peck:
The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.

Frank Lloyd Wright:
I know the price of success: dedication, hard work, and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen.

Then Wilson Philips Played in the background : Hold On for One more Day....
I guess nothing cannot be cured without music.

The deepest thing I heard today..

To let true love remain unspoken is the quickest route to a heavy heart.

One more for records...

The Chinese have a saying "Good Things Come in Pairs". I guess they are right, 7 days after the last party. We have another.... Dave and Patrick moved into their new home ( sounds cozy eh ? ) and hosted their very first 'house-warming' party.

I did not bring my camera this time round but it was not difficult to get my hands on one. Soon, I was nicknamed PAPARAZZI by Pita... Ha Ha Ha...

Thoughts from Last Night ...

  • Some things never change, put 30 AIESEC Alumnis in the same room and you get a crazy party, ( reminded me of IC party nights ! )

  • our old SN to Victoria-Mr Johnny Ionuts still dances the same way he danced at Red Jacket, Victoria BC almost 3 years ago.

  • you can always count on having a couple of beer spills in an AIESEC Party, KUDOs to Gitti, Lars and Shweta for hosting

  • there will always been talks about politics, how to change the world, cultural difference and observations

  • you can always go home ( i walked ) from an AIESEC party tired but charged up and somehow motivated NEVER regretting that you are(were)part of AIESEC
