It's The Little Things

Over the years, I've grown to be a part of you
You've cared for me and opened the way to a happy and beautiful life
You make me feel warm and safe and give me hope for brighter days

Chorus:
It's the little things that we share, the love and joy that's in the air
The children's laughter everywhere, and all our favourite things

Over the years, I've grown accustomed to your ways
And no matter where I'll be, it warms my heart to know that
You're always here for me

( Repeat Chorus )

Over the years, I've learnt we share a destiny
And no matter how good others may be
No one cares like you care for me
Cause deep down inside I feel you're a part of me
My Singapore, the place that I call my Home

This is one of my all time favourite national day song. I remember singing it when i was very very young and I remember smiling to the lyrics....

Today, I found myself humming the tune during my morning run and today, I found myself settling and easing into 'HOME' a little more. ( Because the world to coming here ! )

Well... a few AIESEC Victoria Peeps and their friends / family is going to visit... for some reason, i am really really proud showing off Singapore to them ! My beautiful sunny Singapore. Neat, Clean and Orderly !

Bring it on guys, I'll show you what Singapore really is like.
(ok.. i know some of you guy are wondering if this is government propaganda ! Its not ! its national pride ! )

The climb and the view

turkey_hill_lake_041024[1]
.

About 3 years ago, a certain LCP of a certain west side Canadian LC told me that

The climb up any mountain is not an easy task, full of tears and sweat. But the view is worth the climb.

I lived by it and gotten over some of the most crazy times of life...

Walking my talk, I am climbing again !

Think about this too....

About 10 days ago, since I last posted, I had some friends emailing / messaging me asking about my post. One said that my post sounded very sad, another ask if I was feeling alright. Some thinks that its not very Celine-like to give up so quickly, some respected my post but feels that I am bitter.

So... in light of all that.... here's another to make us think...

Its better to have loved and lost, then to have never loved at all.

Jill Scott has this lyric in one of his songs.

"Just because you had a nightmare, doesn't mean you stop dreaming."

Jenny gave me a card almost a year ago... and it said :

Dance as though no one is watching you,
Love as though you have never been hurt before,
Sing as though no one can hear you,
Live as though heaven is on earth.

what do you think ? Your views wanted !

To Love or Not to Love.
Tell me what you will chose if you were in my shoes ?

Risk not getting hurt ? Risk the Pain of being hurt ? Risk being alone ? Risk not being alone ?

Think about this.....

What hurts more than losing you..
is knowing that you are not fighting to keep me

I am capable of loving you...
but the pain of losing you ....
might be one too much for me to take...
so.. I think I am not going to try.....

Playing over and over again.

This song makes me smile... I am not sure why but it does,

"Save The Last Dance For Me"

You can dance-every dance with the guy
Who gives you the eye,let him hold you tight
You can smile-every smile for the man
Who held your hand neath the pale moon light
But don't forget who's takin' you home
And in whose arms you're gonna be
So darlin' save the last dance for me

Oh I know that the music's fine
Like sparklin' wine,go and have your fun
Laugh and sing, but while we're apart
Don't give your heart to anyone
But don't forget who's takin' you home
And in whose arms you're gonna be
So darlin' save the last dance for me

Baby don't you know I love you so
Can't you feel it when we touch
I will never never let you go
I love you oh so much

You can dance,go and carry on
Till the night is gone
And it's time to go
If he asks if you're all alone
Can he walk you home, you must tell him no
'Cause don't forget who's taking you home
And in whose arms you're gonna be
So darling, save the last dance for me

'Cause don't forget who's taking you home
And in whose arms you're gonna be
So darling, save the last dance for me
Save the last dance for me
Save the last dance for me.

A Clown in a weird sort of way....

I was terribly upset yesterday over something someone said to me and I spend a good hour disfusing it with the same guy who ask if I want to see his CPU ! It seems like a good thing to do.. laughing it out, laughing away your troubles and things that are bothering you.

It also seemed like he has found himself another 'back-up' occupation !

A good pick up line... you think ?

Someone said to me : Want to see my CPU ?

gt082503[1]

OK I admit that I am a geek-wanna-be but hey.... 'Want to see my CPU ?'is pushing it ya ? Ok.... its not used as a pick-up line with intention and it does make me laugh...

What kind of strange conversation starts with that ?

Strangely enough, I said : Sure, bring on the monitor and the mouse too !
[The truth is, I will be even more delighted if its a G5 !]

For the longest Time, it was just me and her

Sai and Celine

My best friend Sai, for a good 10 minutes, the world was not involved in my conversation and for 10 minutes the whole world shut down around me - for the the first time in 8 months, it was just me and her.

Nothing beats a best friend 's chat, nothing beats having someone who understands you under 1 second.

It was a good 10 minutes chat and even though we are in completely different timezones and completely different cultures. It was nice to have the chance to talk to her and nice to have a real time conversation with her. Its beats the emails.

I know why i feel charged up for the rest of the night and I know why I will be smiling tonight in my sleep....

For you Sai, here's wishing everything good going your way and hope to see you soon !

For the peeps out there who have their best friends in different continents. You'll understand how I feel.
