some time ago
I came home one day to find Sai's email sitting in my inbox.. I was pleasantly surprised and of course overjoyed to hear from her... this is the FIRST time in 6 years. she wrote a very very very long email to me !
She started the email in a very nice way, she mentioned how she thought of me during one of her class assignments and how i am her advicer, her cheerleader, her contacts, catalyst , esteem builder, her PR specialist and her role model ! I am so proud of me ! hahaha.. having said that... Sai is every bit as important to me as I am to her ! BIG HUGS to you !
Having said that, I miss Jenny too, sigh... why are you not coming to Singapore? France is boring because I am not there ! :P
some time ago. I set some pretty challenging goals and since then, i have been really busy doing my best to achieve my goals and finishing my very very long to-do list. now that my to do list is almost done. I am taking a short break.. meeting with friends for dinner.
Had a long Japanese Buffet dinner with DrDave : very good to know that he is doing well in Singapore. I hear his stories and I am extremely comforted by the fact that his traineeship has changed many people. Dave and the people that he is working with. The traineeship has challenged him in the corporate world, he is learning so much, sometimes way beyond an executive. Also, he has brought with him the Canadian culture to the people in the office. .. once again, kudos to AIESEC.
SN Induction and Preparation Seminar came and went.. although 3 days of conference took me more than 1 month to prepare for. It was worth the time and effort. Big Thanks goes to AIESEC in Singapore for opportunity, especially to the OGX team.
Lastly... to Aaron.. thanks for being my co-chair. its has been great working with you. Take care, wherever life brings you and if you ever drop by Singapore again.. we should be 'kick-out' of Ben & Jerry's and the MRT Train Station again !
Went to IKEA with Janine... good to be munching on chicken wings and swedish meatballs.. good to take a walk through bedrooms, kitchens, dinning sets, lightings with someone who is kinda 'lost' and looking for some ideas to match the ones she already has in her head. I picked up a few ideas for my little room but I am really lacking the energy to move furniture in my room.
I am given new responsiblities at work after a very good performance appraisal with my immediate supervisor. My new responsibilities involve projects that require me to work with senior management. Considering that I've only been in this industry and this company for 5 months.. this is good news that I have new challenges, but I am started to be frightened.. just a little... hee hee . I still love work.
I watched Music and Lyrics with my sister last night.. it wasn't up to expectation but it was a good de-stressing session from work. Taking my mind away from corporate matters and just appreciating the movie. I thought about the work and effort that goes on in the music industry. How really sometimes, all one needs is a change of environment, a change of sitting position to be inspired again.
Sister and I loved the songs from the movie... 80s music can be hilarious.
I miss the Fine Arts scene, I miss indulging myself with plays, concerts and performance. I can hardly find time to sleep but I will work towards the 'Esplanade' again.
I am in the office on a relaxing Sunday..... blogging as a break.. Back to work now..
