'not enough guts ah'

WARNING ! This is a 'rave and rant blog'

'Not enough guts ah' is a singlish term that we use if we want to say that someone does not have the courage to say something.

I found out that there are a special breed of people out there who likes to stirr things up a little, create some gossip, put people in hot soup and have trouble keeping opinions to themselves. Of course, I expect everyone to do the above mentioned 'activities' to a certain extend. And anyone who is mature can take it positively in good stride or take a joke or two.

Lately, there are a few people out there who crosses the line and is not able to stop stirring up shit.
If you have something to tell me, clear up the facts and come tell me personally. True friends are able to do that and I learn from my mistakes. Dont make someone else do it for you ! In my truest SINGLISH, I will say "why ? not enough guts ah ?''

oh well... today is an eventful day.... here's a list of quotable quotes ( and you are much better off not second-guessing what it means ! )

  • I like the strings over my ankles !
[dude, that is plainly outrightly ugly, your social escort service wont take off ! ]

  • You are not getting the point !
[Trust me, I do, I knew about this problem since I was 13 and dont tell me that I dont understand]

  • Do you know how irritating it is ? I am trying to study
[Why are you not studying at your place instead !]

  • Leave the bitching to the bitch, let everyone do what they do best !
[of course, I did say it !]

  • I have to take the bad end of things
[What happens in your relationship does not interest me !]

  • 'jalan lapang, jalan lapang, jalan lapang"
    [hahahahahahahahahaahahah]

    For a particularly eventful day like today, with work, AIESEC and friends. I have to quote this;

    --------------------------
Grey's Anatomy Meredith Grey: A couple of hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world the secret of his success.

Never leave that till tomorrow, he said, which you can do today. This is the man who discovered electricity. You think more people would listen to what he had to say.

I don't know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I'd have to say it has a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, sometimes the fear is just of making a decision, because what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo?

The early bird catches the worm. A stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we hadn't been told. We've all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day. Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves.

We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibility under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore.

Until we finally understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin really meant. That knowing is better than wondering, that waking is better than sleeping, and even the biggest failure, even the worst, beat the hell out of never trying.
