A Good Dinner at Fairmont Empress Hotel

Victoria boasts the second highest number of restaurants per capita in North America, and Victoria’s outstanding restaurants are eager to showcase their culinary skills.

For a limited time, anyone, tourist / locals can enjoy a three-course dinner at some of Victoria's best restaurants for $15 or $25. So.... because dining at the Empress Room cost about $79 to $99 ( taxes not included ) . Jenny and I jumped at the chance to go. I made the reservation and this is what we had for dinner !

Appetizer:
Composed Tuna Nicoise Salad
-haricot vert and new potato, black olive oil, red pepper paint, baby mizuna greens

Entree:
Free Range Chicken with Caramelized Apple and Wild Mushroom Stuffing
-polenta and mascarpone cheese Tian, brown butter and roast shallot vinaigrette

Dessert:
Espresso Chocolate Marquis with a Croquant Crisp
-with guave lime coulis

Yummy and good stuff. Jenny took pictures ! I have to get the pictures from her !
For those of you who want a pice of the Empress Room.

When Mizue graduated from Royal Roads her mom took us and her host family to the best meal I ever ate in my entire life at the Empress. I can´t believe what they can do with food sometimes!

I am sure there are better restaurants out there... but unless somebody else is paying I usually can´t afford them!!!
